Women’s Golf Complete Play at SunTrust Gator Women’s Invite Sunday

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Southern Miss women’s golf team shot a final round score of 302 Sunday to tie for 11th place at the SunTrust Gator Women’s Invite.

Played at the par 70, 6,002-yard Mark Bostick Golf Course, senior Nichada Satasuk (Chiangmai, Thailand), led the Golden Eagles with a two-over 72 to finish the 36-hole event with an eight-over 218 and a 27th-place tie.

Junior Valentina Haupt (Santiago, Chile) added a 73 over her final 18 holes to finish at 225 and a 45th-place tie.

Freshman Emily Cox (Lancaster, S.C.) ended her tournament with a 75 to place tied for 55th in with a 232, while senior Kayla Bloor (Niceville, Fla.) added a 82 for a 240 and a 71st-place showing.

A final round 86 for junior Miranda Holt (Pensacola, Fla.) ended her tournament with a 243 and a 72nd-place tie.

The host school, Florida collected the team championship with an 840, followed by both Furman and Campbell in second at 852. Tennessee finished fourth at 857, following by Oregon (867), Clemson (868), Ole Miss (873), Daytona State (875), UCF and FIU (896), Southern Miss and USF (913) and North Texas (917).

The Golden Eagles return to action at the 3M Augusta Invitational, hosted by Augusta University in Augusta, Ga., and played at Forest Hills Golf Club.
